Oh Dear, What Would Miss Austen Say?

A friend sent me this link just now. I don't know if one should laugh or cry. Although I have always found Mr. Darcy to be a very manly man, I'm not sure I would name a urine pheromone after him, even if it does attract females unlike anything else. ;)

I guess it's the same for humans. We are attracted to different smells. I know I can (or could, since I am a happily married woman) diss a man simply because I don't like his aftershave.I have read or heard somewhere that we are attracted to different types of men on different times of our cycle. Around ovulation we are attracted to manly men, with the potential to breed awesome heirs, while around the period we are more attractive to caring, loving men who would provide and take care of the family.

On a funny note, the lead researcher is named Jane Hurst. Very suitable don't you think?

Oh, Darn it...

I have had a major celeb crush for a while on James McAvoy. Well, since Becoming Jane in fact. He's just so cute and lovable. I adore him. Still do, but not as fanatically as I once did. Perhaps because he's always seemed attainable. Even if he was married. But now, he's gonna be a daddy. That kind of make his edge go away. Of course I'm happy for him and his spouse, I mean, children are the greatest blessings of life. But, being a father makes him even more unattainable. You cannot leave as easily. Yes, I do have this fantasy that if he did meet me, he would totally go with me. ;)

Oh damn it. :P Who am I to fantasize about now? Well, I do have a vivid image of an Eric Northman (Alexander Skarskård) in lycra. Yes, I think that might suffice for a while...

What the Hell?

Brittany Murphy, 32, is dead. She was rushed to the hospital this morning, local time, with cardiac arrest. She was declared dead as they got to the hospital. She was only 32!!! What's with the world today? Why does everybody have to die so young? She was only three years older than I, for crying out loud.

I think the first movie I ever saw with her was Clueless. And I really liked her as an actress. Great spread of different roles. I think my favourites are Uptown Girls and Clueless still. But also liked her in 8 mile.She's done a tone of great stuff.

It's sad that she's gone.
